WIDEN assisted a Jacquet Metals subsidiary in selling its Baltic companies
August 6, 2024

Our pan-Baltic legal team helped Jacquet Metals sell its Baltic subsidiaries to Rulonas UAB. The sold companies included manufacturers, engineers, and suppliers of various steel products.

Jacquet Metals is a European leader in the made-to-measure transformation and distribution of special metals, while Rulonas UAB is one of the largest suppliers of stainless steel and aluminum in the Baltic region.

Our legal team ensured that the transaction complied with regulatory requirements and provided assistance in the merger clearance assessment process. We also safeguarded the client’s interests throughout the process, which encompassed several critical stages, including signing, closing, post-closing price recalculations, while ensuring compliance with legal requirements across all three jurisdictions. The WIDEN Lithuanian office led and coordinated the project at the pan-Baltic level.

The transaction was managed entirely online with secure identification, ensuring both convenience and security for everyone involved.

The entire legal process was handled by our pan-Baltic WIDEN team, which included partner Lina Šikšniutė-Vaitiekūnienė and associate Haroldas Kupstas from Lithuania, our Latvian colleagues partner Jānis Ešenvalds and attorney Anna Losāne, and Estonian colleagues, partners Kristi Sild and Margus Reiland and attorney Martin Nikolajev.

Managing this complex project from its start to completion was highly rewarding for the whole team, and we take pride in achieving successful outcomes for the client.
