WIDEN advised AS Ekspress Grupp on the acquisition of 100% of the shares in Liikluslab Baltic OÜ, a traffic-training platform.

Founded in 2019, Liikluslab is a platform for traffic education materials (liikluslab.ee) providing services to both private individuals and driving schools. The company has two subsidiaries: Teooria OÜ (teooria.ee), the traffic learning environment, and Liikluslab Tervis OÜ, which deals with health certificates required for driving licence applicants. After the transaction, Liikluslab will continue to operate as a separate company.

The acquisition supports Ekspress Grupp’s long-term goal of increasing revenues from digital subscriptions and services and creates an opportunity for international expansion. The purchase price is confidential, and the transaction is partly financed with a bank loan from SEB Bank.

WIDEN advised on the transaction throughout the entire process. The team included Ants Karu, Martin Nikolajev, Henri Ratnik, Kristi Sild, Margus Reiland, Olavi-Jüri Luik, Triin Kruusla and Marleen Niibek.
