WIDEN advised Atso Matsalu’s company AMPK Holding OÜ on the sale of Puukeskus’ shares where the previous majority owner transferred his shareholding in the company.
The purchaser was OÜ MSCORP whose beneficiaries are equally long-term CEO of Puukeskus Madis Sander and Mart Relve. Prior to the transaction AMPK Holding OÜ held 90% of Puukeskus and OÜ MSCORP held 10%. As a result of the transaction MSCORP acquired 100% of Puukeskus’ shares. The price of the transaction is confidential.
The transaction is an example of a management-oriented change of ownership supporting the company’s sustainable continuity and strategic development. From WIDEN’s perspective, this was an interesting project because nearly 10 years ago (in 2016), WIDEN’s partner Ants Karu advised the CEO at the time, Atso Matsalu, on the acquisition of Puukeskus from its previous Finnish owner.
The seller was advised by WIDEN’s corporate law team, including partner Ants Karu and lawyer Marleen Niibek.
